Aligned with IHD and campus values, Emily will introduce her research and leadership vision at the intersections of child and adolescent development and health, community-partnered research, and the promotion of equitable developmental opportunities and outcomes. She will (a) provide an overview of her ongoing partnered scholarship focused on Community-Based Participatory Research with youth, and (b) discuss campus- and national-level leadership efforts to accelerate the societal impact of our research mission as Faculty Liaison to the Provost on Public Scholarship and Community Engagement.

The second part of the colloquium is envisioned as an interactive networking/ community activity to inform how IHD can engage investigators across disciplines who seek to amplify their impact on research, policy, and practice to advance human development. The Jan 22nd colloquium will set the stage for the Jan 29th and Feb 5th colloquia sessions, the latter of which entails a conversation with the Deans of Public Health and Education regarding an integrative and synergistic “Healthy Futures'' concept for Berkeley Way West (Psychology, Public Health, and Education) and beyond.
