Early Learning and Development: Advancing Science for Positive Impact IHD Flash Talks

May 1, 2023 • 12:10pm–1:45pm • 1102 Berkeley Way West (in person talk)

Please join us for an interdisciplinary colloquium—consisting of Flash Talks followed by a panel discussion—as we explore collaborative opportunities spanning several teams of researchers at UC Berkeley and the Stanford Center on Early Childhood. The goal is to learn more about a range of research activities spanning disciplines, departments and schools, focusing on early childhood interventions and/or policy relevant to improving health, education, and inequities.

The format will include brief talks (5 minutes) from students, postdocs, and early career investigators, which will provide quick intros and overviews of several different lines of investigation. These will be followed by a faculty panel and audience discussion. Panel discussants will include: Philip A. Fisher, PhD (Director, Stanford Center on Early Childhood); Lia C. Haskin Fernald, PhD (Professor of Community Health Sciences), and Ron Dahl, Director of the Institute of Human Development.
