Preschool Staff

Experienced career teachers are assisted by teachers' assistants or enthusiastic undergraduate students who are also experienced in working with young children. In-service training and weekly staff meetings ensure a professional level of communication among staff.

Career teachers hold B.A. degrees and are certified to teach in Early Childhood Classrooms through a Children's Center Permit. Several teachers hold advanced degrees in Child Development or Education. All teachers participate in the regular in-service training provided by the Early Childhood Education Program and take part in child development research. The adult to child ration in each classroom during most of the day is 1:6.
